Thanks! I could have done this in ink (I first doodled it on paper) but there's something exciting about the results you can get in Adobe Illustrator, too.

Right, I went to see this film called the Orphanage a few days ago and was really put in mind of this image. I don't think I ever mentioned how eerie this is before, but it is. (why do I have to be in the house on my own?!)

Thank you so much! I love making this stuff... I was worried too many samples in the same style all bunched up together would make me look one-trick. I've just always been a fan of that minimalist Japanese brush look. Of course this is a lot more modern. It's not the same as hand-drawing but it's certainly nice to stretch your creativity in new directions. I never had too much fun working in Illustrator before these.
